Yerba Buena Night

Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015

6 to 10 pm

Arts and cultural activities are what give San Francisco its unique flavor. A free, outdoor arts festival in the city's vibrant South of Market district (aka SOMA), Yerba Buena Night returns for its fifth run. Festival goers will enjoy live musical and dance performances, plus multiple media forms of art. The festival takes advantage of every nook and cranny of the neighborhood, including Jessie Square and Yerba Buena Lane. Programs for the event will be available at the Information Booth, located at Yerba Buena Lane and Mission Street, from 4 to 10 pm. Musical performances on the schedule include Rin Tin Tiger and the Gerald Beckett Quartet, plus Camilo y los Robot Ninjas. Dance and theater performances include Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company and Bad Unkl Sista in the YBCA Sculpture Garden.

Located in the blocks between Mission and Howard streets, and 5th and 3rd streets, Yerba Buena is a beautiful outdoor public space with lawns, trees and fountains. It welcomes office workers on their lunch breaks during the weekdays, families looking for cultural "edu-tainment" on weekends, and shoppers and diners all day and into the night. Adjacent to the Metreon shopping, entertainment and dining complex, Yerba Buena is home to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts gallery, museum and performance venue. It's located across the street from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (slated to reopen after an exciting renovation in 2016). To find out more about Yerba Buena Night, go to
