Celebrating Halloween In San Francisco

San Francisco is beautiful in October, covered with Indian summer sunshine, blue skies, and the edgy feel of autumn. The city comes alive with music events and holiday celebrations this season, from the Outside Lands Festival to Halloween pub crawls.

If you love the festivities of Halloween, San Francisco is your town. The City by the Bay celebrates Halloween with neighborhood pub crawls, colorful costume parties, ghost tours, bay cruises, and live performances. Discover the spooky, surprising, and spectacular sides of San Francisco.

Crawloween: Halloween Pub Crawl
Spend a fun Halloween at San Francisco's ultimate pub crawl, starting at Mayes Oyster House at 1233 Polk Street. Sport your spookiest costumes on Saturday, October 30th with stops at popular bars, including Lush Lounge, McTeagues, Rusted Mule, Rouge, Zeki's, R Bar, and Soda Popinski, for drink specials and contests.

The Black Pearl Halloween Yacht Party
Cruise out on the San Francisco Bay to celebrate Halloween 2021. Set sail on the San Francisco Spirit, a luxury yacht with three decks of revelry and three hours of music from SF's best DJs and an open bar. This costume party on the bay happens from 9 pm to 1am departing at Pier 3.

Ha Ha Halloween Showcase
Experience a hilarious Halloween night at the famed Punch Line San Francisco. This comedy showcase features several local acts on October 31st starting at 8 pm. General admission tickets are $24 at the door and $16 in advance.

Haunted SF Tour
One of the most haunted cities in the US, San Francisco offers several ghost tours, from the cells of Alcatraz at night to the vampires of Nob Hill. Join the Haunted SF: Ghosts, Murder and Mystery Tour and explore the dark side of Union Square. Go on a ghost hunt through old Chinatown alleys and historic Gold Rush cemeteries. Learn of paranormal activity following mysterious deaths, visit the sites of infamous brothels, and hear about how Chinatown's gang wars shocked the city.

Outside Lands Festival
Held October 29 – 31, the annual Outside Lands Festival illuminates Golden Gate Park over the Halloween weekend. This spectacular 3-day festival celebrates music, wine, food, beer, and art in one of the most iconic destinations in the world. Enjoy an incredible line-up of international live music that includes The Strokes, Lizzo, Nelly, and J. Balvin across the festival's tents and stages.

Discover San Francisco's culinary spirit at the festival's food and drink experiences, including Taste of the Bay Area, Wine Lands, showcasing NorCal wineries, Beer Lands, Cocktail Magic, and Cheese Lands. Wander the festival grounds and see local art exhibits, from sculpture to live painted murals.
