Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed our experience at the hotel. However, after reviewing the final bill in detail, I noticed that I had been charged for items from the minibar that I did not use. I’m not sure whether the items were already missing when we first entered the room or whether they were not properly restocked during housekeeping. In any case, I never consume anything from the minibar unless it is clearly marked as complimentary, so I was quite surprised to discover the charge after returning home. I believe this was simply an unfortunate mistake, but I hope the hotel can improve its minibar inventory checks and billing process to help prevent similar issues for future guests.

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Knikko in June of 2026. They are very centrally located in Union Square so it is very easy access to the Bart station, which made for great getting around for what we wanted to do. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The amenities were lovely and the rooms were beautiful. We ate once in their restaurant, and the Red Snapper fish and chips were delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Housekeeping in this establisment is unreal. I've stayed in 20 hotels this year and I have never seen someone put so much thought into tidying up and organizing my room. And I'm a tidy individual. I was taken aback by the amount of consideration that went into it. Also, the rest of the staff are so genuinely kind when greeting me. The one gentleman in valet really stood out here but every staff member I've come across. Aces. Location. Brilliant. Walking distance from a plethora of activities and a short ride from so many more. My room was a little small but I did decline a larger upgrade. 10/10 hope to be back next year.

Stayed here for a work trip in April and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in down town SF! The location is perfect, close to convention centers, shopping, the piers, and more. The service level at this hotel is as top notch as you will see. Everyone is friendly, professional, and able to help in whatever you need. The rooms are beautiful including the bathrooms and the size of them are perfect. The pool, gym, and other amenities really make it feel like a home away from home.
