2014 San Francisco Marathon Race Expo
There is more to the 2014 San Francisco Marathon than the races that take place on Sunday, July 27, which include a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 52.4 (Double Marathon) and 5K. Before the hard work of navigating the city's grueling hills begins, all those participating are required to show up at the Race Expo to receive their all-important race packets, featuring a bib, race shirt, timing chip and sweats drop-off bag. The Race Expo covers two days, Friday, July 25 from noon to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is held at Fort Mason Center on Marina Boulevard in San Francisco, just a stone's throw from the Golden Gate Bridge. In order to receive their race packets, runners must have a photo ID and bib number confirmation email.

One of the highlights of the San Francisco Marathon Race Expo is the multitude of vendors who are on-hand. These vendors, which provide both products and an array of valuable services, include Clif Bar, A Runner's Mind, Go Athletic Apparel, Fleet Feet Sports, GameFace Media, 5-Hour Energy, Magic Masseuse, Real Time Pain Relief, National Running Center, Sweaty Bands, KT Tape, Running Skirts, Harvest Snaps, Tiger Tail USA, Hippie Runner and UCSF. This year something new is afoot: the 2014 Race Expo Sneaker Drive. The San Francisco Marathon and Philadelphia-based Clothes-Pin (People in Need) have joined forces with the hope of collecting more than 1,000 pairs of men's, women's and children's footwear that will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco for distribution.
