Really good, amazing beds, on the edge of sketchy
Stayed here for RSA conference. Hotel itself was quite nice...I have to figure out if the bedding they have has an equivalent in the US as I got really terrific nice sleeps. Room was clean and comfortable, a little small but fine for the city. Gym was fine, the equipment is a little on the aged side. The location was close to public transportation (Powell St. BART) and Market Street. The neighborhood did seem to veer towards sketchy as you got closer to the hotel...homelessness sadly seems to be expanding in SF, but more so as you got closer. If you leave the hotel and head away from Tenderloin, I think you are fine
3 of us stayed at Nikko hotel for 3 nights for leisure. We chose this hotel because of its location, close to Union Square and description on hotel's home page. The room was disappointingly boring, the bathroom is old but sufficiently maintained. The hotel was renovated in 2019, already looks dated ,but clean.Good size tv .We paid 25 $ for use of indoor swimming pool , which was horribly cold , the AC was turned on apprx. - 2 Celsius, which is too cold for Europeans. We went to reception and got refund for unused service. We paid 1500 US dollars for 3 nights for 1 room without breakfast. It had been a disappointing stay. Probably won't be back
The hotel is certainly lovely and exceptionally clean.
The pool was the highlight for us. Its on the roof top with great light and indoor and outdoor chairs.
Check out the workout room also!
I'd certainly stay here again if you chose o be in the Union Square area
Although I was a guest for less than 24 hours, the staff of the Hotel Nikko made it a very pleasant retreat from city and business. The room was cozy but very comfortable and functional with all the amenities. Staff at the bell desk and front desk were professional, helpful and friendly. The breakfast in Anzu was amazing. I expected a good Japanese breakfast option as well as a standard American meal, but both were excellent. For me a trip to San Francisco means fish, and I was able to have a serving of smoked salmon with croissant for my American portion (with both fresh and dried fruit). The grilled salmon on the Japanese side was luscious and accompanied by picked fruit and seaweed salad. A perfect start for my travel day
