The highlight of Alcatraz Island is the former federal prison that can be experienced courtesy of several different tours, including the Cellhouse Audio Tour where you'll hear the voices of actual guards and inmates discussing what life was like on the inside. There are also nighttime tours along with an orientation film and information-rich museum displays.
