Walk to the San Francisco Musem of Modern Art

Less than a mile from Hotel Nikko, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art boasts an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art and was the first museum on the West Coast devoted to 20th-century art. Walk ten minutes to explore over 30,000 pieces, including painting & sculpture, photography, architecture & design, and media arts. See the works of Matisse, Kahlo, and Warhol.
Check out The Fisher Collection, the Pritzker Center for Photography, and 45,000 square feet of art-filled spaces that are free to the public. After you're done viewing, enjoy dining at Cafe 5 on the museum's fifth floor and shop artfully at the Museum Store. The SFMOMA also offers free days on the first Thursday of every month, as well as Free Family Days.
