Yes, there are a few. Only bicyclists and pedestrians are permitted to be on the sidewalks of the Golden Gate Bridge. No one is allowed to transport themselves on roller blades, roller skates, or a skateboard. If you have an electric bike or scooter, you can either push it or ride it on the sidewalks but the power must be off. And the only types of animals that are permitted are service dogs, guide dogs, or signal dogs.
For starters, there's the Welcome Center. You'll receive answers to any questions you might have along with an informative overview. There are also several educational exhibits and commemorative merchandise. What's more, you'll be able to satisfy your hunger at the Round House Café, which serves such American fare as hot dogs and clam chowder, and the Bridge Café where you can enjoy a variety of drinks and snacks.
There are many cool places to see the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, including the Golden Gate Overlook and Visitors Center. Our favorite views of the Golden Gate Bridge can be found on Hawk Hill on the Marin Headlands, Marshal Beach at the Presidio, Fort Point, Crissy Field, Grand View Park, Battery Spencer, and Alcatraz.
