Fantasy of Lights Christmas Celebration
The Union Street Fantasy of Lights
Saturday, December 6, 2014
The holiday event of the season, San Francisco’s Union Street Fantasy of Lights dons the city in dazzling lights and festive décor. The streets will be transformed into a winter wonderland starting at 3 p.m. on December 6, with kid-friendly activities and entertainment until 7 p.m. The historic neighborhood will be buzzing with the energy of the yuletide season complete with costumed characters, jugglers, and face painters. Balloon artists will also be onsite handing out animals in all shapes and colors.
Enjoy live music and entertainment, including all your favorite Christmas jingles. Then take a horse-drawn carriage ride for a unique perspective of the popular district - it’s free from 3-5:30 p.m. Be sure to get a souvenir snapshot of the little ones’ with Santa Claus. Jolly Old St. Nick will be accompanied by his elves and live ponies dressed up as reindeer. Santa arrives at Cudworth Mansion (2040 Union Street) at 5:30 p.m. You won’t miss the historic home, which will be twinkling with lights.
This is also the start of the Elf Hunt, so look out for a toy elf while you’re out shopping San Francisco’s trendy fashions. If you find the elf, you’ll be entered to win a $500 Visa gift card. Merchants are open a little later during the holiday season, so you can cross every name off your Christmas shopping list.
Book your reservations at our hotel soon to plan your whimsical winter getaway this December.
