San Francisco Events - SF Columbus Day Italian Heritage Parade

Winding from Fisherman's Wharf to San Francisco's Little Italy in the heart of North Beach, the Italian Heritage Parade is a Columbus Day weekend tradition. Connect with the vibrant Italian-American community of the Bay Area at this festive procession, which takes place on Sunday, October 9 beginning at 12:30 pm after a mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Watch decorated floats roll by, enjoy traditional Italian music, and listen to the booming sounds of marching bands as they make their way along the route. Admission is free to this family-friendly event, which begins at the foot of Jefferson and Stockton Streets and ends with a party at Washington Square Park. Festival events at Washington Square Park include hands-on activities for the kids, a Ferrari sports car display, and plenty of food and beverages for refreshments.
